DSX 190 TB High Traffic Aluminium Entrance Door
The DSX 190 TB is a robust, thermally broken aluminium entrance door designed for high-traffic and severe-duty applications. Combining fully welded construction with flexible configurations, enhanced security and accessible entrance options, it provides a dependable commercial door solution for education, healthcare, retail, commercial and public buildings.
Product overview
Designed for entrances that work harder, the DSX 190 TB is an all-purpose, thermally broken commercial entrance door for high-footfall and demanding environments. Its fully welded, square-cut aluminium leaf construction provides the strength and durability needed for medium, heavy and severe-duty applications.
The system is available in single and double-leaf, single and double-acting configurations, with suitable arrangements for powered operation. Finger-guard pivot stiles are included as standard, with full-round and half-round options available to support different entrance designs and operating requirements.
Independently tested to PAS 24:2022+A1:2024 for enhanced security, the DSX 190 TB offers multipoint locking, panic and non-panic hardware options and electronic access control. Document M-compliant threshold options are also available, supporting the design of secure and accessible commercial entrances.
Suitable for internal and external entrance applications, the DSX 190 TB can be specified across schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, healthcare facilities, shops, leisure facilities, offices and other public or commercial buildings where doors experience frequent use.

Configurations
Features
Thermal performance is influenced by the door size, configuration, glazing or infill specification and surrounding construction. Project-specific U-value calculations should therefore be obtained from Novastruct rather than applying a single standard value to every DSX 190 TB entrance door.
The system can accommodate door leaves up to 3000 mm high. Maximum width and weight depend on the operating method and closer arrangement:
- For manual operation using a concealed overhead closer pivot arrangement, the maximum leaf width is 1250 mm and the maximum leaf weight is 120 kg.
- For powered or power-assisted operation using a heavy-duty floor pivot and springless concealed overhead closer, the maximum leaf width is 1320 mm and the maximum leaf weight is 160 kg.
- The maximum permitted leaf area is 3.3 m².
Final door dimensions must account for the operating method, closer arrangement, leaf weight and approved configuration.
Finger-guard pivot stiles are included as standard to help address finger-trapping risks at the hinge side of the door. Full-round and half-round options are available, with the half-round finger guard used for applicable open-out panic-door arrangements. Document M-compliant threshold options can also be incorporated as part of an appropriately designed accessible entrance.
The door can be configured with multipoint panic or non-panic locking and electronic access control. When PAS 24 performance is required, the complete doorset, hardware and operating arrangement should be selected in accordance with the approved tested configuration.
The DSX 190 TB is compatible with Novastruct FSX 100 and FSX 110 curtain walling systems. This allows the door to form part of a coordinated glazed entrance or façade solution, subject to the requirements of the individual project.

Specification support
Door size, thermal performance, security, access control and hardware requirements should be considered as part of the complete entrance design. Novastruct can provide project-specific technical support and U-value calculations based on the proposed DSX 190 TB configuration and glazing specification.
Fabrication and installation
Novastruct systems are fabricated and installed through trained and authorised specialist contractors. The final doorset should be designed, fabricated and installed in accordance with the approved system specification and the requirements of the individual project.
Regular inspection, cleaning and planned maintenance help preserve the appearance and support the continued operation of the door. Hardware, weather seals, glazing gaskets, sealants and visible components should be checked as part of the building’s planned maintenance programme, following the applicable project and component guidance.
